Annapurna Region

The Annapurna Region is surrounded in between the two rivers the Kaligandaki in west and the Marsyangdi River in east. Annapurna Region is unique in the world because it has twelve different Himalayan peaks higher than 7000 metres.
Having a unique collection of picturesque diversities of nature and culture, the Annapurna region is considered to be the best trekking destination among the global trekking community / global trekkers. It offers the tourists to trek in Nepal with its Himalayan ranges including Thorang La pass (5416m) and Tilicho Lake (5119 m) situated on the highest elevation in the world. The highest Annapura I (8091m), the deepest Kaligandaki River gorges and the dense forest of rhododendron of various colors and old villages like Manang, Kagbeni, Jomsom, and rural communities are the distinguished features of the Annapurna region. Popular Round Annapurna Trek, Annapurna Base camp, Ghorepani/Poon Hill and Jomsom and Muktinath are the major trek destinations. Muktinath Temple is as important as Mt. Kailash of Tibet and Pashupatinath of Kathmandu to visit for both Hindus and Buddhists.
