Memorable and relaxing 5D Poon Hill trek

The scenery along the trek was really beautiful, especially between Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ghandruk. Our guide Sabin spoke good english, was positive, helpful, cheerful, conscientious, and responsible. He was knowledgeable and patient, and kept reminding us to relax, take our time, and enjoy ourselves because we're in no rush. As a result, we could enjoy the trek with no stress at all, walking at leisurely pace. Our porter Maila was humourous and helpful. He always cracked jokes to cheer us up. He was the one who secured our accommodation along the way, and even cooked dinner for us at Ghandruk and Pokhara. Both Sabin and Maila waited on us and took great care of us throughout the entire trip. The homestay at Deepak's residence in Kathmandu was meaningful, thanks to the hospitality of his family members, who went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. This had been our best trekking trip ever, thanks to Deepak and family, Raj, Sabin, and Maila. This will likely not be our last trip to Nepal. We strongly recommend Adventure Thirdpole Treks for your consideration.

My friends and I had only about 8-9 days to play with in Nepal and we chose to embark on the Tamang Heritage Trail. We engaged Depak's company (Adventure Thirdpole Treks) through Raj and it was a really great choice as they customised the itinerary to suit our needs. We spent our nights in Kathmandu at Depak's home, and the homestay is a really good choice if you would like to learn more about Nepalese culture.

Tamang Heritage Trail is a relatively easy trek (max altitude 3200m). There was ample time to appreciate the scenery along the way. Some of the villages along the trail were badly hit by the 2015 earthquake, most unfortunately the Tatopani hot springs which no longer runs anymore.

Our trekking guide was really awesome! His name is Adarsha (Bahadur) Mahat and he speaks really good English. We also had two helpers and cooks, namely, Bahrat Karki Maila and Tara Bahadur Tamang. (Maila is an excellent cook and Tara loves to dance!) The trio made the trek so much more enjoyable!

Thank you for the wonderful experience again! Look forward to engaging them for my future Nepal trips!
